Crested Butte Mountain Resort and the International Freeskiers and Snowboarders Association will host a 2 Star Qualifying event on February 6th. The top athlete in each category will be awarded a complimentary “wildcard” spot in the 4 Star Qualifier in Crested Butte on February 8th and 9th. Come watch the top ski and snowboard freeride athletes compete for the title of US Extremes Champion! The chairlifts start spinning for another season of lift-served biking, hiking, disc golf and archery at Crested Butte Mountain Resort. Hikers utilize both the Red Lady Express and Silver Queen lifts for access to astonishing views and trails. Bikers can utilize the bike load on the Red Lady Express lift to transport their bikes up and save their legs for the downhill.

Watch as Santa sprinkles the magic dust on top of the Christmas Tree at the annual tree lighting ceremony on the mountain at 5 PM in the courtyard at the Lodge at Mountaineer Square. Bring your little ones to have their photo taken with Santa as they each tell him what they would like for Christmas. Santa will stay after the tree lighting to take photographs and sign autographs.

Bring your bow and learn from professional archer and West Elk Archers club representative, Ryan Johnson. Clinics are open to all ages and ability levels. For youth entry level participants, several children’s practice bows will be available at the sight in range to share; however, most participants should plan to bring their own bow and arrows. All sessions will meet in the base area at Evolution Bike Shop for check in. Clinic formats will vary from week to week, so catch them all for a well-rounded training opportunity.

The $10 Clinic fee includes one lift ride.
