The Father of\u00a0Newgrass\u00a0and King of Telluride, legendary mandolin master Sam Bush\u00a0has long established himself as bluegrass royalty. A\u00a0lifetime of channeling his energy has led to stylistic innovations that have changed the course of bluegrass and roots music alike.\u00a0The\u00a0sheer ferocity of his playing\u00a0and the brilliant suppleness, ease\u00a0and warmth of his vocals\u00a0have earned him a suite of honors including a \u201cLifetime Achievement\u201d from the Americana Music Association; four International Bluegrass Music Association \u201cMandolin Player of the Year\u201d awards, and three Grammy’s heralding talents from best album to best performance. His most recent album,\u00a0Storyman,\u00a0is\u00a0a freewheeling collection that gleefully picks and chooses from jazz, folk, blues, reggae, country swing,\u00a0and bluegrass to create a jubilant noise only classifiable as the Sam Bush sound. Revered for both his solo and sideman work, which includes time with the likes of Emmylou Harris, Lyle Lovett and\u00a0B\u00e9la Fleck, Sam boasts a bevy of 30 recorded albums. This will be an evening full of light and joy, peace and frenzy, a rapt merging of life and music.\u00a0Sam plays with his full band for this concert.<\/p>\n
