Lodge Staff Trip with Three Rivers Resort
For the summer season, Three Rivers Resort and Outfitting invited us – the front desk lodge staff – on a guided white water rafting trip! Our guide had over 25 years of experience and took us through the beautiful Upper part of Taylor River. It was an amazing high mountain whitewater rafting experience with stunning views of the Elk Mountain range and wildlife, including big horn sheep.
The raft guide thoroughly went over all safety guidelines before the trip and continued to focus on the safety of the passengers throughout the entire excursion. It was an overall unforgettable, fun, and safe experience. For more information on booking a Whitewater Rafting experience, visit Three Rivers Resort’s website at www.3riversresort.com and check out the many other activities and adventures they offer!
5th Annual Santa ski
Crested Butte Mountain Resort is sponsoring the 5th annual “Santa Ski and Crawl” in hopes of breaking our World Record for the most number of skiers in full Santa costumes! Help set the World record for the most skiing Santas on December 9th at 2:00 pm. It doesn’t matter if you ski, snowboard or snowblade, all Santas are welcome! The Santa Ski is open to all ages. All you need is a Santa suit and either a season pass or a day pass to the ski mountain. Discounted Santa lift tickets are available at Santa Headquarters in the middle level of the Treasury Center.
Don’t have a Season Pass? – Ski for only $25 if you’re in a full Santa Suit that day! Santa suits must have a top, bottom, hat and beard in order to qualify. You can make your own suit, use an old one or purchase one at the Treasury Center in advance. Don’t miss Crested Butte’s biggest holiday party and join the official Santa pub crawl after the festivities for a tour of Crested Butte’s most beloved and historic bars.
Check out www.cbsantacrawl.com (http://www.cbsantacrawl.com/) for details!
As always, we will be serving a selection of Santa’s favorite cookies at the WestWall Lodge in the Alpine Club Bar from 3-5 to celebrate.
